Enjoying a new Generation

Experiencing the constant growth and change that a child goes through is the biggest miracle. The way that they evolve into something more and more complex each day fascinates me. My daughter Alexandra is going to be 1 1/2yrs next month, and i couldn't be happier. Each time we sit together and play, she does not cease to amaze me. This week her interest in her dollies has grown immensely and she has began to pretend to be a mumma herself. Thus she has added the new word "baby" to her rapidly increasing repertoire of speech. Already she says mumma, dada and teir variations, also ball, num nums, and blankey among others. The constant phrases in her discourse are both "hi" and "buh bye." She began one day escorted as a proper queen in a Target shopping cart preforming a parade wave and greeting each person that she passed. I'm amazed at how socoial my little woman is at such an early age, and must take care not to insert stranger phobias. Another source of enjoyment for her comes from finding reasons to tell mumma that she's taking off, hitting the road, and getting outta dodge. Upon picking any item associated with leaving the confines of our apartment, she exclaims "buh bye!" These items may include but are not limited to; a purse (thrown over her shoulder and modeled) anyones sneakers, and car keys (real or plastic). I assume she would rather be shopping.
